Project Type: Kitchen
Project Duration: 8 months
This family wanted to update their dated ’90s kitchen and create a bright, open space with plenty of seating, high-end finishes, and smart storage solutions. To achieve this, we removed a load-bearing wall and installed a concealed beam, seamlessly integrating an underutilized study into the kitchen’s footprint.
The new layout features a spacious central island with seating for four, a prep sink, a warming drawer, and hidden storage to keep everything within reach but out of sight. Custom cabinetry, quartz countertops, and paneled appliances create a cohesive, modern look, while a custom range hood and glass tile backsplash add warmth and texture.
A built-in pantry and additional cabinetry replaced a sacrificed window, improving storage without compromising natural light. The large windows near the main sink didn’t allow for a backsplash, so we replaced the lower casings and window stools with PVC for durability against splashes and spills.
This remodel strikes the perfect balance between aesthetics and practicality, giving the homeowners a kitchen that is both beautiful and built for the way they live.
