This historic 1890 plantation-style colonial was full of charm—but the kitchen, laundry, and desk area felt tight and dated. The homeowners wanted to improve the way they lived in the space without losing what they loved. The kitchen remodel kept the original stove (a client favorite) while adding custom cabinetry, hammered stainless steel sinks, and a new wall oven. A former screened porch was enclosed to create a cozy sitting room that opened up the entire flow of the first floor, bringing in light and connection.
The updated laundry room features beautiful built-ins and a standout brick herringbone floor. Throughout the project, care was taken to blend original character with modern function. The new kitchen is bright, open, and easy to gather in—everything the old layout lacked. An added back deck completed the transformation, making this historic home renovation feel fresh, welcoming, and ready for the next chapter.
